Creating a beautiful and high converting landing page is one of the most essential elements of any business looking to sell online.
It’s one of the few things that you can do to increase the likelihood of converting a visitor into a paying customer.

What is GroovePages?
GroovePages is a WYSIWYG drag-and-drop website editor, landing page editor, and sales funnel builder.
It is one of the apps within the Groove ecosystem that helps business owners to quickly and easily build and scale their online businesses.
The following are some of the features GroovePages has to offer:
- Building out an entire website for your online business
- You can choose from many templates, or start with an empty template for your own design.
- Easily customize the text, color, font size, etc.
- Import templates that were created/sold by other people.
- Create your own templates that you can then sell to other people.
- Create advanced sales funnels
If you’re looking to build an e-Commerce, dropshipping, or print-on-demand type store with Groove, then you’ll need to first start with GrooveKart instead. Once you’ve created your GrooveKart store, you can then leverage GroovePages to improve your conversions overall. Check out this tutorial on how to setup your GrooveKart store: How To Setup GrooveKart.
When to use GroovePages
Currently, you can use GroovePages for 3 major use cases:
- Creating high converting landing pages to attract visitors
- Create an entire website for your online business
- Create sales funnels to take your potential customer on a sales journey.
GroovePages is best used in conjunction with the other apps in Groove that can help improve overall sales and conversions.
How to make your first GroovePage
Go to the GroovePages app. You can get there by going to the main dashboard and clicking the GroovePages tile, or by hovering over the Groove logo on the top left and clicking GroovePages (or GrooveFunnels).

Click “New Site”.

After that, you can choose to build a site from an existing template or create one from scratch. If you want to use an existing template, go to the “Complete Site” tab and select a template that you like. There isn’t a huge number of options to pick but we can expect the library of templates to grow over the next few months.
If you need more templates, you can search on Google for more templates or browse template marketplaces. Some will be paid and some will be free.
Usually, you will be given a link to templates that you find online which you would then need to open in a browser. Make sure that you’re logged into Groove before browsing the link. Visiting those template links would automatically save the template to your Groove account, which you can then re-use later.

Once you’ve picked a template that you like, click “Start Building!” on the top right. You’ll then be prompted to give your site a name. Enter it in and press “Start Building”.

You will then be presented with a screen that looks like this (possibly already designed if you picked a template):

The left hand panel
The left-hand panel is where you will find most of the functionality that you will need to work with GroovePages. Let’s look at it in more detail.

Canvas
This is the area you’ll end up working on the most. The canvas is a space that allows you to design your site. It is what the final site will end up looking like and allows you to make customizations as necessary. Currently, I have nothing on the canvas.

The dropdown on the top left of the canvas can be used to switch between the different pages of your site/funnel.

In the top middle area of the canvas, you can choose the device to help you change the layout and look per device. For example, a site that looks great on desktop could look horrible on mobile. You can change the look per device to ensure your site always looks good on any device.

Finally the buttons near the top right of the canvas are utility buttons and a button to publish changes to your site and make it live.

Going from left to right, the first 2 buttons allows you to undo and redo respectively.
The 3rd button lets you preview your site changes to another tab in the browser.
The 4th button allows you to modify HTML/CSS code to allow you to customize your site further. This is mostly recommended for HTML experts that are well-versed in this sort of thing.
The Save button is exactly as it sounds. It saves any changes you make in GroovePages so that you can come back to it later and resume working.
The Publish button publishes any changes to the live website.
The final button at the end is a back button (which is slightly intuitive though). It should go back to the GroovePages dashboard.
Blocks
This is where all the elements that you would need for your website/landing page will reside. You can expand any block and then drag-and-drop any block directly onto your canvas.
The “Blocks type” dropdown allows you to filter the list of elements necessary to only what you select.

Elements
This allows you to choose different layouts, text, media, lists, forms, and even pre-built 3rd party integrations to use. This also makes use of drag-and-drop functionality as well.

Pages
This is where you manage all the pages in your site. You can add a new page by clicking the “+” icon at the top near where it says “Pages”.
Hidden pages allows you to create pages but hides them from site navigation so that people can’t navigate to it unless they know the direct link to the page. This is great for staging where you might have a page ready to publish and just looking to stage it and get feedback from a manager.

Funnels
Similar to pages, you can make use of funnels here. You can import an existing funnel or create one from scratch. A sales funnel is a process in a sales journey to convert a visitor to a customer by gradually warming them up and enticing them to an offer.

Webinars
Allows you to add webinars to your site. I plan to cover this in more detail and will update this post in due course.

Popups
Allows you to add popups to your site. Although it can be annoying for your visitors, it has proven to be effective at driving more conversions than any other element on a website.
You can create popups by pressing the “+” icon near the top and designing your popup (or make use of imported ones) by following prompts.

Settings
Allows you to adjust overall settings for your site.
For example, you can change Favicon, update site name, redirections as well as adding header code data for things like tracking and Google Analytics.

Create a simple page with GroovePages
The default page you would have when you first create a GroovePages project is the home page.
You can start to design the home page right away by dragging one of the tiles in Blocks or Elements and dropping it into the canvas.

Let’s start with dropping a 2 column layout like above.
Then, let’s drop in a navigation bar above that in Blocks.

Then drop in a lead magnet below our 2 column layout.

Finally, add a footer to finish our home page.

For those 2 columns we created, you can drag and drop any element or block directly inside the column. In my case, I just put an image element and a list element.

After this, we can customize our elements.
If you have an image element, you can directly click the image element in the canvas and then go to the “Configure” tab to select an image to use.

Make sure that after you select an image, that you then come back to “Configure” tab and press “Update” to save your changes. This goes for pretty much any element you configure. It’s a bit of an extra step and hopefully, it’s something that might be improved in a later Groove update.
You can also add links to your elements. For our lead magnet link, we could choose to link to some Google drive link for them to download whatever useful thing there is. However, we may instead link to another page where we collect their email address. In this case, we would select “Page” (possibly even “Popup”).

You would need to create a separate page though for the sign up and possibly even thank you pages.
To do that, go to “Pages” and press the + icon.

Choose a template (or make one from scratch) and press Add.
Then, for that page, click the 3 dots and press “Edit Settings”.

Give your page a proper name and URL and save it.

Now you can go back to the home page and link to the page directly for your lead magnet link.
You’ll also have to spend some time designing the sign up forms and thank you pages as well.
Templates can be a massive timesaver in these cases. Either go buy some good quality GrooveFunnels templates or hire a GrooveFunnels expert on Upwork to build out a template for you.
Most of the time, I rely on bought templates rather than doing it all myself as I know professionals can do a better job than me.
Then all that’s really left, is to go through the template and switch everything out to your own elements. Like your own logos, images, videos and text.
Make sure that you also go through all the links and swap them out appropriately to your own ones.
That’s it, you’ve created your own GroovePages site within a few minutes!
GroovePages vs Leadpages
Leadpages is a direct competitor to GroovePages. It is a tool that is solely specialized in building landing pages and funnels.
Leadpages is easier overall to create landing pages when compared to GroovePages and also has some amazing integration with other popular tools on the market.
GroovePages does excel over Leadpages when it comes to building a business online since you can easily integrate GroovePages with the other apps available within Groove. For instance, in addition to a high converting website, you can also integrate lead generation (with GrooveMail), a subscription section (with GrooveMember), video hosting (with GrooveVideo), webinar hosting (with GrooveWebinar) and so on.
If you’re looking to sell a small a professional kind of high ticket service, then Leadpages would work better as it is more advanced to build high converting websites and funnels. However, if you are relatively new to online business, then Groove provides the most bang for your buck.
How much is GroovePages?
GroovePages comes free as part of GrooveFunnels.
There are currently 2 plans with Groove.
There is a free plan that comes with all the apps, albeit with a few restrictions for each app. However, that shouldn’t really be a showstopper for most online businesses.
There is also a platinum plan (currently with a lifetime deal). This allows you to use all the apps with almost unlimited restrictions. This price for GrooveFunnels platinum is $1997 which is a one-time lifetime deal only until February 22nd 2022. After this, they will move to a monthly subscription model.
Best that you click on the link here to sign up for a free Groove account to give it a test drive before making your final decision.
With GroovePages specifically, here are the main differences between the 2 plans.
Features | Free Plan | Platinum Plan |
Websites | 3 | Unlimited |
Custom domains | 3 | Unlimited |
Sharing funnels with others | 1 | Unlimited |
Receiving funnels from others | 5 | Unlimited |
Import pages | 15 | Unlimited |
