If you make it a habit of going to the library everyday, you will eventually start loving it. Especially when the traffic and income start rolling in!

If you find that the library is not the place where you can stay focused, then find another place that is. This could be a cafe, a shared office space, a local park or wherever.

Find a Writing Buddy

If you’re having trouble finding motivation on your own, try finding a writing buddy!

Having someone else who is also working on their blog can be a great way to stay accountable and motivated. You can check in with each other regularly, share ideas and resources, and give each other feedback on your posts.

Get Inspired by Other Bloggers

One of the best ways to find motivation for your blog is to read other blogs in your niche. When you see other people writing about topics that interest you, it can be a great way to get inspired and come up with ideas for your own blog.

Don’t get hung up on analytics

When you’re first starting out, it’s easy to get hung up on your blog’s analytics. But resist the urge to check your stats every five minutes!

Focusing on your page views or the number of people who subscribe to your blog can be discouraging, and it can take away from the joy of blogging.

Instead, try to focus on writing quality content that you’re proud of. The numbers will eventually follow.

I know how hard it is when you are just starting out and it feels like you are wasting time writing for ghosts. This is very normal for every new blogger.

Look at your analytics once every month to see how you are progressing. Day to day analytics makes no sense when you are starting out. You should be measuring how many posts you’ve written instead.

The more blog content you create, the higher the chances you have of becoming a successful blogger in the future.

Reward yourself on every win

Every time you finish writing a post, give yourself a small reward. This doesn’t have to be anything big – it could be something as simple as taking a break to watch your favorite TV show or going for a walk around the block.

For example, I always feel guilty watching a movie after coming home from a day job. I feel even more guilty if I haven’t contributed anything to my blog for weeks.

So what I always do, is that if I’ve published a few blog posts, I will stop and watch a movie before I move onto the next.

I’ve done this so many times now which has helped improve my mental health. I’ve now moved onto TV shows now instead as it feels like there’s not that many good movies that have come out since the pandemic started.

The important thing is to celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how small they may seem.

You could add more rewards when you’ve hit specific milestones. For example, when your first hit the first page ranking on Google. Or when you’ve made your first affiliate sale.

Go grand and take your family out to a fine dining restaurant. Whatever it is to keep the motivation going.

Take a long break

If you’ve been blogging for a while and you’re starting to feel burnt out, it might be time to take a break.

It’s okay to step away from your blog for a little while – in fact, it might even be good for you. Taking some time off will help you recharge and come back with fresh ideas.

And if you’re really struggling to find blogging motivation, remember that there is no shame in taking a break. Your blog will still be there when you’re ready to come back. It’s not like a day job where your boss is hovering over you pondering whether you should be fired for poor performance. Blogging is more forgiving.

There are tons of great ones out there, but some of my favorites are “The Power of Why” by Simon Sinek and “Start With Why” by TED Talks.

Both of these videos emphasize the importance of finding your passion and pursuing it with everything you’ve got. They’re both incredibly inspiring, and they always leave me feeling motivated to work on my blog.

So if you’re feeling stuck, try watching a few motivational videos. They might just be the kick in the pants you need to get blogging again.

Think about how great it will feel when your blog is getting traffic and people are actually reading what you write. Imagine yourself hitting all of your blogging goals and becoming a successful blogger.

The more vividly you can visualize your success, the easier it will be to stay motivated and keep blogging. So take some time to daydream about your blogging goals, and let the motivation wash over you.

This is actually a mindset hack that I’ve used in other areas of my life as well, and it’s worked wonders.

Don’t fight for perfection when starting out

When you’re first starting out blogging, it’s easy to get caught up in the quest for perfection.

Should I add this many keywords? Should I cover this topic in my post? How many words do I need in my post? How many backlinks do I need? Does my page load fast enough for Google? Does my blog look professional enough? Do I need a better theme?

All of this is irrelevant when starting out.

Treat blogging like a business. Right now, you need a minimum viable business. In other words, it doesn’t matter how good your blog looks or whether you can get a 1 ms loading time. Just focus on writing content and lots of it.

You might be tempted to spend hours working on a single post, making sure that everything is perfect before you hit publish.

But here’s the thing: blogging is not about perfection. It’s about putting your thoughts and ideas out there and connecting with other people.

So don’t fight for perfection when you’re just starting out. The important thing is to just start blogging, and worry about perfecting your craft later on.

If you can get over the need for perfection, it will be much easier to find blogging motivation – and you’ll likely be a lot happier with your blog as well.

Go at your own pace

One of the biggest blogging mistakes you can make is trying to do too much, too fast.

When you’re first starting out, it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement and want to blog every day. But unless you have a lot of time on your hands, this is probably not sustainable.

It’s important to find a blogging pace that works for you and stick with it. Whether that means blogging once a week or once a month, just be consistent.

If you try to do too much too soon, you’ll quickly burn out – and that’s not good for anyone. So go at your own pace, and don’t worry about how often other people are blogging. Just focus on what works for you.

If you try to be like other people and aim to crank 10 blog posts or whatever ridiculous amount every day, you will end up crashing and burning out.

It’s better to go slow and consistent, even if that means delaying your success and gratification. You will have much more success blogging this way in the long term.

At the end of the day, your main aim is to make your blog more interesting to readers.

One of the best blogging motivation tips I can give you is to make a promise to contribute something every day.

This could be anything from writing an article to adding an image to your blog, or even just sharing other people’s blog posts on social media.

The important thing is that you make some sort of contribution every day, no matter how small. This will help you stay consistent and motivated with your blogging, and it will also help you see results over time.
